I am excited to share that “Rethinking Translation: Emergent, Geographic, and Transformative,” written by Dan Trudeau and myself, was just published in ACME: An International Journal for Critical Geographies! ACME is an open source journal so you can access the PDF of our article for *free* right here. Our reconceptualization of translation as emergent and geographic takes tremendous inspiration from adrienne maree brown and her book, Emergent Strategy, and from Barbara Tomlinson and George Lipsitz and their book, Insubordinate Spaces. We are grateful for the generative ideas offered by these authors! I welcome your thoughts on our ideas for how we can think differently about translation and cultivate transformative change.
