Imagining Seattle featured in Seattle University book series

Serin Houston is thrilled to share that Imagining Seattle is one of three featured texts in the 2020-2021 Seattle University Arts Leadership Book Club series. The series focuses on anti-racist and decolonial arts in Seattle.

On December 9th, 2020 at 3pm EST, Dr. Houston will give a talk about the creativity and social justice dimensions of her book. A discussion of these themes with Seattle University professor Dr. Jasmine Mahmoud will follow. Houston and Mahmoud then encourage audience members to participate in the conversation. The talk is FREE and open to the public.

On December 10th, 2020 at 3pm EST, Dr. Mahmoud will facilitate a mapping exercise inspired by Imagining Seattle. Attendees are invited to bring a blank piece of paper and black, brown, purple, blue, green, yellow, and red crayons and markers to participate in the mapping exercise.

Houston is honored to have Imagining Seattle included in this book series and looks forward to the December 9th and 10th events.
