Houston’s AAG conference talks postponed

Serin Houston’s planned participation in the American Association of Geographers (AAG) conference in Denver, Colorado in April has been postponed. Houston had intended to join an ‘Author Meets her Readers’ book panel, which would have been an exciting time to discuss her book, Imagining Seattle: Social Values in Urban Governance, with geographers and urban planners. Houston’s book was also going to be celebrated at the annual book reception hosted by the Feminist Geographies Specialty Group.

Yet, COVID-19 caused the cancellation of an in-person AAG conference. Fortunately, the book reception and book panel are now slated for the 2021 AAG conference in Seattle. Houston hopes that everyone is finding some grounding points during this deeply unsettling and challenging time.
